David Blood is a Founding Partner and the Senior Partner of Generation Investment Management. Previously, David spent 18 years at Goldman Sachs including serving as CEO of Goldman Sachs Asset Management. David received a BA from Hamilton College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

David is chair of Just Climate, Social Finance UK and World Resources Institute, and on the board of On the Edge Conservation.

Colin le Duc is a Founding Partner of Generation Investment Management. Generation was established in 2004 as a dedicated sustainable investor. Colin is head of the firm’s San Francisco office and focuses primarily on Generation’s Private Markets businesses. He also serves as Vice Chair of Just Climate, a Generation business dedicated to climate-led investing. Prior to co-founding Generation Investment Management, he worked for Sustainable Asset Management in Zurich (now owned by Robeco), Arthur D. Little in London and TotalEnergies in Paris. Colin serves on the board of the Ocean Conservancy.

Colin received a bachelor’s degree in International Management and Modern Languages from the University of Bath, UK, and he completed the Corporate Finance Programme at London Business School. He has lived in nine countries across four continents.

Clara Barby is the Senior Partner of Just Climate. Previously, Clara was CEO of the Impact Management Project (IMP) and project lead for the establishment of the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB). Clara’s public interest work on standards was made possible through a secondment from her role as a Partner at Bridges Fund Management, where she led the firm’s sustainable and impact strategies across fund types. Prior to Bridges Fund Management, Clara worked for Acumen’s Capital Markets team and later co-led the Acumen clean energy portfolio, investing in South Asia and East Africa.

Clara received a BA (Hons) in Greats from the University of Oxford, and an MBA from INSEAD.

She was awarded a CBE for services to International Sustainability Standards in the 2023 King’s New Year Honours list.

Ruth Kent joined Generation Investment Management in 2023 and is Head of Control, Technology and Finance. Previously, Ruth was with Brookfield Asset Management as managing partner and chief operating officer at Brookfield Renewable Power and Transition. She also served as CEO of Terraform Global (upon its acquisition by Brookfield), CFO of Europe, and head of commercial and power marketing at Brookfield Renewable Partners. Prior to joining Brookfield, Ruth held a variety of roles across the financial, automotive and energy sectors.

Ruth completed her Chartered Institute of Management Accountants qualification at Munster Technological University and received an MBA from Henley Business School.

Shaun Kingsbury is Chief Investment Officer of Just Climate. Previously, Shaun was the founding CEO of the UK Green Investment Bank (GIB), which he ran from 2012 to 2017. Under his leadership, the GIB invested £3.4 billion of public funds, employed 120 professionals and, together with private capital, financed £12 billion of transactions in green infrastructure assets. Prior to the GIB, Shaun was a partner and responsible for European activities at Hudson Clean Energy Partners, where he helped the firm raise its first private equity fund of over $1 billion in assets under management.

Shaun received a BA (Hons) in Business Studies from the University of Ulster.

Shaun was awarded the Commander of the Order of the British Empire in 2018 for services to the UK Green Economy.

Sebastian Cameron is the General Counsel to Just Climate. Previously, Sebastian was a Director at Generation Investment Management and a member of the Global Credit and Growth Equity strategies. Prior to this, Sebastian was a solicitor at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP, advising on a broad range of corporate and financial transactions. Whilst completing his studies, Sebastian worked at the UK Financial Services Authority and the World Bank in Washington, D.C.

Sebastian received an MA in English Language and Literature with First Class Honours from Magdalen College, University of Oxford. He received post-graduate diplomas with distinction from BPP Law School and the College of Law and is a Solicitor to the Senior Courts of England and Wales. Sebastian is a CFA Charterholder.

Tushar Kumar is a Partner at Just Climate on the Investment Team. Previously, Tushar worked at Kerogen Capital as a partner on their investment and portfolio management team and was responsible for many of their European energy and energy transition investments, as well as key relationships in the region. Prior to that, he was an executive director in Morgan Stanley’s natural resources investment banking group in London and an associate in J.P. Morgan’s natural resources investment banking group in Hong Kong.

Tushar has a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad. He is also a CFA Charterholder.

Robin Duggan joined Just Climate in 2023 as Operating Partner on the Investment Team. Previously, he was executive director at Climate Transition Capital and also served as one of the executive directors and board members of the Amsterdam listed Climate SPAC CTCA1. From 2007 to 2019, Robin was a senior member of the Riverstone Renewable Energy investment team. He also served on boards, including Seajacks, Enviva, Pattern II and Velocita.

Prior to that, Robin spent 18 years with BP in a variety of senior management positions in the upstream, petrochemicals and refining teams, based in Europe, Australasia, the US and Latin America. He is chairman of Camberwell Energy, an independent business providing transformational development projects for customers in the renewable energy sector. He has previously served as an advisor to TPG and Star Capital Partners.

Robin received a BA in Biochemistry from Magdalen College, University of Oxford, and a Sloan Master of Science in Management from Stanford University.

Serhat Aydogdu joined Just Climate in 2023 as a Director on the Investment Team. Previously, he was a founding investor at D4 Ventures where he led investments in sustainability and financial services. Prior to that, Serhat was an investor at Centricus, a London-based investment firm. Serhat was also a vice president in the renewables and infrastructure team at Goldman Sachs and started his career at Fiba Renewables, a renewable energy platform, where he was an early team member.

Serhat has a BSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Boğaziçi University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.

Carolina Bozzetto joined Just Climate in 2023 as an Associate on the Investment Team. Previously, she was an investment banking associate at Citigroup working in the industrials team in London and in the Italian office.

She has a BSc with Honours in Economics and Management from Cattolica University and an MSc with Honours in Management from Bocconi University.

Carolina speaks Italian.

Beth Carter joined Just Climate in 2022 and is a Partner on the Investment Team. She leads the technical due diligence and risk evaluation for the investment portfolio. Previously, Beth was the senior business leader for clean hydrogen at Honeywell UOP, where she led the commercialisation of hydrogen and carbon capture technologies. Beth spent 14 years at Honeywell UOP, with her early career in international field service and engineering, followed by leadership positions in research and development, where she was accountable for the design and optimisation of new energy technologies from conceptual design through to commercial implementation.

Beth received a BSc in Chemical Engineering from Northwestern University, is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Illinois, and is a co-inventor for six US patents.

Gaia de Battista joined Just Climate in 2022 as Director of Partnerships in the Investment Team. Previously, Gaia was an executive director at Lion’s Head Global Partners, where she led the firm’s sustainable finance advisory business advising clients in emerging and frontier markets on a broad set of transaction types from private debt financing, to green and sustainable bond issuance, and strategic projects across the sustainability spectrum. Gaia has broad sectoral experience, including renewable energy, water and sanitation, technology, and carbon markets.

Gaia started her career at Goldman Sachs in London as a credit risk analyst.

Gaia received an MSci with First Class Honours in Physics with Theoretical Physics from Imperial College London and has a Graduate Diploma in Economics from the London School of Economics.

Gerald Loo joined Just Climate in 2022 as an Associate on the Investment Team. Previously, he was an associate consultant in Bain & Company’s private equity group in London and also spent time at Ariya Capital in Nairobi as an investment analyst.

Gerald received a BA in Economics and Management from the University of Oxford.

Rafael Macé joined Just Climate in 2022 as an Associate on the Investment Team. Previously, he worked at Morgan Stanley as an investment banking analyst.

He has an MSc in Finance from EM Lyon Business School and a master’s degree in Social & Political Science from Sciences Po Lyon.

Rafael speaks English, French and Spanish.

Spencer Powell is the Director of Climate Finance at Just Climate. Previously, Spencer spent three years at the Impact Management Project, where he led work on corporate disclosure as a technical facilitator and subject matter expert on measurement and disclosure of corporate sustainability. This work culminated in a secondment to the IFRS Foundation, where Spencer worked on development of the newly formed International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) and led its technical work on climate-related disclosures right up to the publication of the board’s inaugural exposure draft.

Prior to that, Spencer was the finance manager for Teranga Gold (acquired by Endeavour Mining) and started his career at KPMG in the energy and natural resources group in Toronto.

Spencer received a Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Accounting from McGill University in Montreal and an MBA from IE Business School in Madrid. Spencer is also a Canadian Chartered Accountant (CPA, CA).

Joris Rademakers joined Just Climate in 2023 as a Director in the Investment Team. Previously, Joris was at Climate Transition Capital, where he was responsible for deal origination, transaction structuring and execution specifically focused on climate transition opportunities in Europe. He also served as one of the executive directors and board members of the Amsterdam listed Climate SPAC CTCA1. Prior to joining Climate Transition Capital, Joris helped to create, scale and sell two renewable energy platforms and a flexible generation business with management and board responsibilities, working closely with Riverstone’s renewable and power team. Joris also worked on Barclays Capital’s investment banking group in London in corporate finance, and mergers and acquisitions.

Joris has a BSc in Molecular Science and Technology from Delft University, an MBA through a dual-degree programme from Columbia Business School and London Business School, an MSc in Energy Trade and Finance from Bayes Business School, and completed various executive education programmes at INSEAD.

Joris speaks Dutch and conversational French and German.

Aruna Ramsamy joined Just Climate in 2022 as a Managing Director on the Investment Team. Previously, she was an investment director with OGCI Climate Investments where she invested in a portfolio of decarbonisation technologies. From 2010 to 2017, Aruna led impact investments for the Soros Economic Development Fund in Sub-Saharan Africa promoting economic growth and sustainable job creation.

Aruna started her career in investment banking at Credit Suisse in New York, specialising in power sector leveraged finance and project finance transactions. She also was an associate at Moelis & Company, advising on mergers and acquisitions, and restructuring transactions.

Aruna received a BCom with First Class Honours in Economics and Finance from McGill University and an MBA from INSEAD.

Edoardo Serrini joined Just Climate in 2022 as an Associate on the Investment Team. Previously, he was an investment banking associate at Jefferies in the industrials and business services group.

He has a BSc in Economics from LUISS University in Rome and an MSc in Finance from the University of Edinburgh.

Edoardo speaks English and Italian.

Siddarth Shrikanth is a Director on the Investment Team and joined Just Climate in 2021, initially part-time during his graduate studies in the US and then full-time in London.

Siddarth started his career at McKinsey & Company in London, where he designed and implemented decarbonisation strategies for corporates, investors and governments. He was on the founding team of McKinsey's environmental incubator, McKinsey.org, and led the Rethinking Recycling programme in Indonesia before a stint as a foreign correspondent for the Financial Times in Hong Kong. He helped co-found Working Trees, a natural carbon removal startup, and has consulted for the World Bank. He is the author of The Case for Nature.

Siddarth received a first-class degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Oxford, an MPA from the Harvard Kennedy School and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Natalia Simakina joined Just Climate in 2022 and is a Managing Director in the Investment Team. Previously, Natalia was a director at Kerogen Capital where she was responsible for deal origination, transaction structuring and execution, as well as portfolio management, with a primary focus on energy and energy transition opportunities in the European region. Prior to that, Natalia worked in Morgan Stanley’s investment banking group in New York and London advising clients across a spectrum of sectors, including energy, building materials, metals and mining, and chemicals. Natalia also served on the boards of two geothermal companies, Geothermal Energy Nordic and Yeager Energy.

Natalia received an MSc in International Finance from the University of Amsterdam and an MSc in Strategic Finance Management from the National Research University Higher School of Economics, Moscow. Natalia is also a CFA Charterholder.

Andy Wiley joined Just Climate in 2022 as Managing Director of Capital Markets and Project Finance. He has broad experience in lending and advising across the infrastructure and energy sectors. Previously, Andy was a managing director at Macquarie Capital in London. He focussed on debt capital raising for external clients and for Macquarie principal investments. Prior to that, Andy was a senior lender in infrastructure and energy at RBC Capital Markets in London having started his career with KPMG in London.

Andy is a board trustee at the Shoreditch Trust, an organisation that focuses on working with people who experience health, economic and social inequality.

He received a MEng in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Bristol. Andy is a Chartered Accountant (ACA) with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England & Wales.

Alex Zhang joined Just Climate in 2023 as an Associate on the Investment Team. Previously, she was an investment manager at Climate Transition Capital, focusing on investment in green energy, green mobility and decarbonisation of the industrials sector. Prior to that, Alex was an investment manager at Sustainable Investment Management, raising capital for sustainable agriculture.

Alex started her career as a power and utilities M&A and financial sponsor coverage analyst at Société Générale, advising on several renewable energy transactions. She was also an associate at the Green Investment Bank Offshore Wind Fund.

Alex holds a BSc degree in Mathematics with Statistics for Finance from Imperial College London.

Evelina Olago is Managing Director of Client and Strategy at Just Climate. Previously, Evelina spent three years as investor relations senior manager at Helios Investment Partners in London. Her role covered fundraising, client engagement as well as development of the firm’s impact and climate strategies. Prior to that , she spent four years as part of the firm’s value creation team working with management teams in Africa and the UK in sectors including energy, real estate, telecommunications and financial services to drive growth, develop robust ESG systems and prepare the businesses for exit.

Evelina also worked at McKinsey & Company as a strategy consultant and started her career at Ernst & Young in the energy and resources group in London.

Evelina received a BSc in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from the University of Warwick. Evelina speaks Russian, French and Swahili.

Charlotte Pettit is Director of Finance and Operations at Just Climate. Previously, she was the financial controller at Apiary Capital. Prior to that, Charlotte was the fund controller at Apollo Management, a fund accountant at Doughty Hanson and started her career at KPMG.

Charlotte received a First Class Honours degree in Mathematics from the University of Nottingham. Charlotte is an ICAEW Chartered Accountant and holds the CFA Investment Management Certificate.

Matt Cook joined Just Climate in 2023 as an Associate in the Finance and Operations Team. Previously, Matt worked at Deloitte in the large and complex audit group specialising in investment management and private equity clients. He has also worked in real assets fund operations at Abrdn.

Matt is an ICAEW Chartered Accountant.

Jayne Dunlop joined Just Climate in 2022 as an Associate on the Client Team. Previously, she was the membership manager at the Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change. Prior to that, she was a relationship manager on the institutional client business team at BlackRock.

Jayne received an MA in International Business with French from the University of Edinburgh.

Florina Galca joined Just Climate in 2022 as an Executive Assistant. Previously, Florina worked for the Impact Management Project (IMP) where she provided administrative support to the CEO and COO.

Prior to that, she worked as an events manager at Deutsche Bank as part of the corporate services team.

Sandra Maguire joined Just Climate in 2023 as an Executive Assistant. Previously, Sandra worked for Mid Europa as an office manager and executive assistant. Prior to that, Sandra was an executive assistant to the CEO/Co-founder of BlueCove and BlueBay Asset Management. Sandra also worked for Deutsche Bank in London as an executive assistant.

Michael Moloney joined Just Climate in 2022 as an Associate on the Legal team. Previously, he was legal counsel at Federated Hermes. Prior to this, Michael was an associate at Macfarlanes in the investment management group. Michael started his career at Nabarro LLP, now CMS.

Michael received a BA in History from the University of York and post-graduate diplomas from the University of Law and Kaplan Law School.

Jamie O’Brien joined Just Climate in 2023 as an Executive Assistant. Previously, she worked as an executive assistant for the office of the chief investment officer at BlackRock. Before relocating to London, she worked as an associate project manager and events specialist for Stryker Corporation in Cork, Ireland.

Louise O’Dowd joined Just Climate in 2021 as an Executive Assistant. Previously, Louise worked for Julius Baer as an assistant relationship manager in Dubai. Prior to that, Louise was an executive assistant to the CIO of capital markets at Legatum.

Before relocating to the Middle East, Louise worked for J O Hambro Capital Management in London.
